Melanie is involved in the arts. I don't know all the details, but for awhile now she has been passing on some great ideas to Amy who would in turn send them to me and Jodi. I am already curious as to how she did this background technique. I love the black gingham ribbon as well.
Thanks Miranda for the kind words. The background technique is pretty simple. I used a cross hatching technique with an olive colored pencil on the Old Olive cardstock. Then for added depth, I gently brushed the cardstock with an Old Olive ink pad.
